Don Matheson is the founder of AZGolfHomes.com, ScottsdaleRealEstate.com and the Matheson Team of Re/MAX Fine Properties in Scottsdale, Arizona. Canadian by birth, Don emigrated to the US in 1995. He has built The Matheson Team by giving superior service to clients Valley-wide. With over $63.9 million in sales in 2008, Re/MAX ranked Don and his team #2 in Arizona and #37 in the United States. Don achieved the Re/Max Circle of Legends Career Award in 2008. To date, only 121 people in the Re/Max system have reached this level of excellence.
Don attributes much of the team's success to their pioneering efforts on the Internet and looks for it to drive future growth. A true entrepreneur, Don isn't just in the real estate business; he is reinventing the business of real estate by maximizing the Internet's potential through his proactive and systematic approach to listings and buyers online. Don and his team generate over 33% of their sales volume from the Internet, second only to the team's referrals.
2008 brought change to the real estate market in Arizona. Don launched The Matheson Team's REO Department to help lenders dispose of their foreclosed property assets. The Matheson Team is an approved vendor for Fannie Mae and other lending institutions. Don earned the Certified Distressed Property Expert (CDPE) designation in early 2009. He and The Matheson Team agents help homeowners in financial distress sell their properties before foreclosure is necessary.
Don is a Board Member for the Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce, Chairman of their Partners Council, and a member of the Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital Community Advisory Council. He is also a member of Sentinels of Freedom. Don received the Segner Business Volunteer Award from the Scottsdale Chamber in June 2007. In 2009, he was recognized with the Circle of Legends award, a prestigious achievement in the ReMax system.
He is a skilled golfer with a 6 handicap and is an avid reader. Don speaks to numerous real estate professionals about the power of the Internet to grow their businesses as well as his own personal formula for success. Don is never too busy for you or your referrals!
